But as moderately priced cookware, it is unsurpassed. Well made, smoothly finished, feels solid and hefty in the hand. We use the pan to cook oats, steam vegetables, and make the occasional small batch of popcorn, and we couldn't be happier. There have been concerns that the quality of other Revere Ware products is not what it was. I bought this saucepan in February 2012 to replace one that had been damaged by boiling it dry. (We continued using the damaged saucepan for another year before buying a replacement; these things are solid.) Compared with the original pan, which was purchased as part of a set in 1995, the replacement is identical in size, finish, appearance, and weight. There is just one small difference: on the bottom, the original is stamped CLINTON, IL, USA. The replacement is stamped INDONESIA. Well, those Indonesians are making good stuff. If you don't need... The quality, as usual, is outstanding!! Besides the quality, the weight of the pot is perfect. I dislike the newer pots and pans which purport to heat faster and more evenly, but are impossible to pick up with anything in them for anyone, let alone an elderly person. I grew up with Revere ware and I use it in my own kitchen. Plus, as usual, dealing with Amazon makes the whole experience easy, comes right to the door, well packed, right on time...in today's day of "service", you can't ask for more. 13 of 14 people found the following review helpful New & Improved--Great for smoothe top ranges, By Verified Purchase This review is from: Revere 3520027 Line 2-Quart Covered Saucepan (Kitchen) I hadn't purchased new Revereware in years as my old set is still very functional but I needed an extra pan that the steamer basket would fit. I am impressed with Revereware's newer 'flat bottom' cookware--perfect if you have a smoothe top range, which I now have. Pan sits flat on the cooktop for even cooking (unlike my copper-bottom old set). I will likely purchase a full set of Revereware flatbottom pots & pans to replace my old copper bottoms. Much cheaper on Amazon! |

Product Description
Revere Tri-Ply 2-Quart Stainless Steel Saucepan with Lid
REVERE cookware have been part of American history since patriot and silversmith Paul Revere started making copper sheathing for naval vessels in 1801. Paul founded Revere Copper Company which evolved into Copper and Brass, Inc., the makers of Revere Ware Copper Clad Stainless Steel Cookware. Today, REVERE cookware is one of the most recognized and preferred brands of metal rangetop cookware, known by consumers for its legendary heritage, quality and durability. With a strong commitment to consumer research and technological advancement, the REVERE cookware team constantly introduces new, innovative products adapted to changing consumer needs.
Revere Tri-Ply Bottom collection pots and pans are constructed of durable, shiny stainless steel. The bottoms on the pans feature an encapsulated aluminum disk between two layers of stainless steel for quick and even heat distribution. Stainless steel covers are fashioned with Revere's signature "Pistol Grip" stay-cool phenolic handles and knobs are oven safe up to 350 degrees F.
CARE AND USE
- All Revere cookware can be used on gas and electric coil ranges. Tri-Ply / Encapsulated cookware can also be used on most smooth-top ranges. Consult the owner's manual of your range for recommended cookware.
- BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Wash cookware thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
- Oven Use: REVERE cookware can be used in a preheated oven. Phenolic handles and knobs can be used in oven up to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. DO NOT put in oven when self-cleaning cycle is operating.
- DO NOT use bleach or other chlorinated cleaners.
- To prevent warping, let cookware cool before coming into contact with water.
- To remove burned-on food, soak before cleaning and scrub with plastic scouring pad if necessary.
- Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner to remove heat discoloration (rainbow appearance) or food stains (from starchy foods).
- Salt can "pit" stainless steel surfaces. Add salt to liquid only after it reaches the boiling point and stir to dissolve. DO NOT store acidic or salty foods in cookware.
- Constant dishwasher cleaning will remove the gloss from the phenolic handles and cover knobs.
- It is the nature of copper to discolor through the application of heat as well as from climatic conditions. These stains are merely an oxide film and can be removed with a copper cleaner.
WARRANTY
World Kitchen, LLC will replace, or exchange for product of equal value (at World Kitchen's option) any REVERE stainless steel cookware/roaster item which is defective in material or workmanship for 25 years from date of purchase when used under normal household conditions.
Classically straight-sided, this 2-quart saucepan is perfect for making sauces, heating soups, and preparing countless other foods. The phenolic handles and knob are oven-safe to 350 degrees F, so the pan can be used to braise or warm foods in the oven under its tight-fitting lid. Revere's Tri-Ply cookware is made of handsome, mirror-finish, 18/10 stainless steel. Each pot or pan has an aluminum disk in its bottom to spread heat quickly and evenly. The disk is sandwiched between layers of stainless steel, so the exterior finish still offers an easy cleanup. The pan has a loop on its handle for hanging on a hook or peg, carries a 25-year warranty against defects, and should be hand washed. --Fred Brack
